Scór Sinsear is coming up now in a few weeks. Anyone interested in representing the club, please make contact with Seamus Mac Ruairí. Great News today that Naomh Mhuire GAA Club are winners of the Cope Rewards scheme 2011 earning the prize of €1275 over competition from Dungloe GAA Club, Na Rossa GAA Club and the RNLI.
This money goes straight into facility and coaching development at the Banks and will be well spent. CLCG Naomh Muire would like to thank all who took out the rewards keys in the clubs name and for supporting the initiative at the Cope in Annagry and Dungloe. We were the best shoppers in both stores which is a reflection of the great support locally. We would like to thank the Cope for setting up this scheme and we look forward to working with them again in 2012. We also received sponsorship through the Cope Community trust early this year and their local support has been outstanding. Go raibh maith agaibh uilig. Please use your Naomh Mhuire Cope rewards keys when shopping at the COPE Supermarkets in Annagry or Dungloe over Christmas and New Year. At the last count Naomh Mhuire were in the lead over Dungloe and Na Rossa GAA clubs as well as RNLI for customer traffic but this could of course easily change as Xmas is such a busy shopping period. The Club aim is to win the rewards incentive through the Cope with any money received going straight into facility and coaching development. Please use your Naomh Mhuire reward key in the Cope. Finance/Fundraising meeting will be held in Aislann Rann na Feirste Wednesday night at 8pm. The items to be discussed are
We need lots of help in so many areas of these fundraising activities and even if you havn't been involved before that if anything is more the reason to get stuck in now for a few short months. There are two projects coming up within the Club and we look to support the development committee as well of course as our Seniors moving up to Division two and the need to support them. This along with the ongoing great work by the Minor board in creating excellent development of underage football. It means that as a Club we must keep moving forward even in difficult economic times. The Club is not about the few who serve on the committee...They are powerless without help....it is the entire community of players, parents, families, friends, supporters neighbours etc. It is not only about football or indeed sport but involvement and improving the community . Therefore all help is greatly appreciated whatever that is. The aim this year is to concentrate fundraising nights on these few winter months ..leaving the summer free to concentrate on the games. There will be an important finance meeting tomorrow night (03/11/2011) in the clubhouse at 8:30pm. This is a very important meeting to discuss upcoming fundraising events and two ongoing projects. This meeting is open to all members and supporters.
It is with deep regret that the club have learned last night of the passing of one of it's true characters, Frankie Pat Gallagher. Today's divsion 3 league games have been cancelled as a mark of respect.
The club offers it's deepest sympathy to his wife Catherine, his sons Francis and Ciaran and to Frankie’s mother Kathleen Duffy and brothers Jimmy, Denis and Pat. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam usual. |
